About me...

 

Hello, my name is Tania Peters, i have a loving husband and 3 beautiful daughters. I am a trained teacher with a caring nature. I am a reliable, truatworking and capable person. I am flexible, adaptable and ready to step up and help where ever needed. My passion is working with children, i enjoy aiding learning and development and i believe children deserve to be valued and respected as individuals. 

 

 

 

Work experience & environment

 

With over 20 years experience in the early childhood sector i have had the opportunity to work in a number of different preschools and i feel priviledged to work along side so many fantastic families and team members. I have worked with a range of ages providing quality care and education. I respect every families beliefs and values and aim to work in with them to support their aspirations. 

 

My philosophy

 

I believe bonding with the children and gaining their trust is a very important aspect of being a teacher. I believe in getting down to the children's level at all times while letting them explore their environment and learn at their own pace. I enjoy asking open ended questions t extend the children's learning, while encouraging them to ask questions of their own about their environment and learning. I believe in taking the time to understand and respecting all families values, while believing this gives a good strong foundation for building a stable caring, loving, and fun environment for children. 

 

 My philosophy

 

I strongly believe having a strong bond with the educator encourages children to learn, gain confidence and grow to their full potential. By having smaller child to educator ratios, this allows the children to have more equality time in learning and having fun, both one on one and with each other. I love watching my children grow confidence and a sense of belonging.
 

Work experience & environment

 

Growing up I was always involved with children in the community as well as regularly babysitting throughout the years. Though school I was always top in class for Early Childhood in both NCEA Level 2 and 3. I was also given a certificate in Level 3 for top in the school for Early Childhood. As of now I am working towards my Level 4 certificate in hopes of nannying and teaching overseas. I also have had experience in kindergarten centres such Montessori and Mayfield

 

I believe that children learn through fun and unique kinds of play. I am always looking up new and fun ideas to do with the kids in my care both indoors and outdoors. It is important to create a safe and secure environment to create close bonds with the kids. It is very important to me that my kids feel comfortable and at ease about coming to me about any issues or ideas they may have.

Hello! My name is Jessie and I am nineteen years old. I have been looking after kids my whole life and joined the team at Step 2 Growth in 2017. I have work experience in both montessori and mayfield kindergarten and continuously enjoy to work with children of all ages. I am currently working on my Level 4 Early Childhood certificate and have a passion for children's learning and brain development.
