Hi, my name is Natallie. I’ve been in home-based childcare for 5 years. I have recently moved to Blenheim from Rotorua and been with Step2Growth since February 2015. I am a mother with a 5-year-old boy, who treats children in my care as my own.

 

 

Work experience & environment

 

My home is set out so that the children can learn in an optimum environment. As I have quite young ones in my care, the floor is kept clear so they have plenty of room to scoot around and get to where they need to. I have a spacious yard with a variety of resources so that the  children can enjoy the Marlborough sunshine whenever they like.

My philosophy

 

I believe in home-based childcare where the child can learn and have more one-on-one time with me and the other children. I love to see the children gaining new skills along the way, developing a sense of belonging in a home-based environment.

Every child is unique in their own way.  Each child grows at their own developmental level and each child comes from a family that have their own beliefs and values. 

As an in-home educator I believe it is my responsibility to understand the child as a whole and build foundations for children to be life long learners.

About me..

 

My name is Kath Grigor. I am married to Dave and we have 3 beautiful children of our own.  Cameron who is 15, Quinn who is 13 and Libby who is 9.  We also have 2 well loved dogs called Bonnie and Dusty.  We own our own home in Grovetown and enjoy the rural feel while only being a few minutes’ drive from Blenheim town centre.

I am a qualified primary trained teacher but left the classroom in early 2017 to pursue my passion for early childhood education.  I have a strong interest in play-based learning and enjoy instilling in children from an early age a love of the outdoors.
